O'Fallon, Missouri
Client:Contractor's Roofing & Supply
Terra Technologies has provided many storm water services to the Contractor's Roofing & Supply facility, evolving over the years to match their regulatory needs. Our firm was initially retained to collect water quality samples on a quarterly basis in accordance with their State Operating Permit. Specifically, Biologic Oxygen Demand, Chemical Oxygen Demand, pH, Oil & Grease, and Suspended Solids were being measured and reported to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. This work was being conducted pursuant to Section 402 of the Clean Water Act, under the authority granted to the State of Missouri and in compliance with the Missouri Clean Water Law.
In 2009 when the site's operating permit was renewed, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources requested the cessation of quarterly water quality sampling and instead required the creation of a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and the use of best management practices (BMPs) to limit any release of pollutants into the receiving streams.
Terra Technologies wrote the SWPPP report, has been performing monthly inspections of the site and has assisted in the transfer of the permit to new site ownership.
