David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for the Watermark multi-family development in Kansas City Missouri. The development will help meet the demand for multi-family residential units along the Tiffany Springs corridor .
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States and to document existing site conditions. The parcel is approximately 20 acres in size and consists of agricultural land. Three wetlands totaling 0.34 acres were delineated on the property. There were no streams or ponds.
The applicant received a Nationwide Permit 29 verification letter authorizing unavoidable impacts to jurisdictional surface waters. The Corps of Engineers established the need for the purchase of 0.50 wetland credits as compensatory mitigation. The credit purchase must be completed prior to the commencement of work within regulated waters.
