David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for the Todd George Marketplace Commercial Development in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. When constructed, the development will provide retail services along the Highway 50 corridor in Eastern Lee’s Summit.
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States within the limits of the proposed development project. One tributary totaling 299 lineal feet and 1.80 acres of emergent wetland were identified as unavoidable impacts to jurisdictional waters. The project minimized impacts to receiving waters through the use of upland best management practices including an extended wetland detention basin.
Due to the permanent loss of wetlands and streams, mitigation credits will be purchased from the Clear Fork Creek Wetland and Stream Mitigation Bank where such surface waters are preserved through perpetuity under management by Terra Technologies.
