David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for a new phase of the Thousand Oaks Residential Development in Parkville Missouri. When constructed, the development will help meet the demand for single family homes in western Platte County Missouri
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States within the limits of the 567-acre proposed development project. Sixteen wetlands totaling 1.39 acres, one perennial stream channel totaling 1,097 linear feet, One intermittent stream channel totaling 5,099 linear feet, eleven ephemeral stream channels totaling 16,376 linear feet, and four ponds totaling 4.90 acres were delineated within the permitted phase of development.
To replace the lost aquatic resources that result from the authorized project, the permittee must purchase credits from the Nishnabotna/Platte Wetland and Stream Umbrella Mitigation Bank, where such surface waters are preserved through perpetuity under management by Terra Technologies.
