David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting to construct a new Residential Development in Overland Park, Kansas. When constructed, the development will help meet the demand for single family homes in southern Johnson County.
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States within the limits of the proposed development project. Six wetlands totaling 0.35 acres, one intermittent stream channel totaling 569 lineal feet, one perennial stream channel totaling 3,502 lineal feet, and two ponds totaling 3.16 acres delineated on the parcel. In order to replace the lost aquatic resources, the US Army Corps of Engineers required compensatory mitigation credits be purchased from an approved mitigation bank within the service area of the project.
