David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for the Summerwood Single Family Residential Development in Overland Park, Kansas. When constructed, t he project will help meet the demand for multi-family housing along the newly improved 159 th Street corridor in Overland Park, Kansas.
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States within the limits of the proposed development project. A total of 0.303 acre wetland, two ephemeral stream channels totaling 1,738 lineal feet, one intermittent stream channel totaling 1,538 lineal, and no open water areas. It is likely that all of the wetlands and stream channels will be considered to be jurisdictional acres.
Due to the permanent loss of a small quantity of stream and wetlands, mitigation credits will be purchased from the Cedar Ridge Wetland and Stream Mitigation Bank where such surface waters are preserved through perpetuity under management by Terra Technologies.
