David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for Stonebridge 4 th Plat Residential Development in Johnson County Kansas. The project will help meet the demand for residential homes along the 167th Street corridor in southern Olathe Kansas.
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States and to document existing site conditions. The parcel is approximately 36 acres in size and was agricultural land and residences. One intermittent stream totaling 3,026 lineal feet, and no ponds were delineated on the property.
Due to the requirement to place fill in regulated waters to facilitate site construction, some permanent loss of stream function will result. Mitigation credits will be purchased from the Kansas Missouri River Umbrella Mitigation Bank where such surface waters are preserved through perpetuity under management by Terra Technologies.
