Terra Technologies' Shane Staten will address a seminar titled Current Issues In Storm Water Regulation in Missouri on January 30, 2009. The event is a one-day seminar presented by Lorman Education Services and is intended for engineers, presidents, vice presidents, business owners and managers, project managers, environmental professionals, public works and utilities directors, developers, planners, surveyors, contractors, property owners and managers, architects, and attorneys.
Mr. Staten's talk is titled 2008 Clean Water Act Section 404 Compensatory Mitigation Rule for Losses to Aquatic Resources. He will give background information on the Section 404 permitting process, previous mitigation requirements, and the various mitigation options (onsite mitigation, offsite mitigation, mitigation banks & in-lieu fee programs). Mr. Staten will then describe the changes made by the new mitigation rule and the impact of these changes on development projects.
