David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for Staley Hills Residential Development in Kansas City Missouri. The project will help meet the demand for single family homes in the Shoal Creek Parkway area.
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States within the limits of the proposed development project. Two wetlands totaling 0.86 acres were identified. It was determined by the Corps of Engineers the wetlands are jurisdictional waters.
Due to the requirement to place fill in wetlands to facilitate site construction, some permanent loss of wetlands will result. Mitigation credits will be purchased from the Clear Fork Wetland and Stream Mitigation Bank where such surface waters are preserved through perpetuity under management by Terra Technologies.
