David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for the Diocese of Kansas City-St Joseph for construction of St Michael High School. The project is located at NE Strother Road and Lee’s Summit Road. It will help meet the demand for parochial education in Lee's Summit and surrounding communities.
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed site inspections to identify, delineate and map the locations of wetlands and other water bodies, and to document existing site conditions. A total of 0.43 acres of wetlands were identified as unavoidable impacts to jurisdictional waters of the United States. The Corps of Engineers has jurisdiction over all waters of the U.S. The water quality 401 authorization automatically certified by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources provides conditions and guidance to address local water quality needs of the permitted activities.
Due to the permanent loss of wetlands, mitigation credits will be purchased from Clear Fork Stream and Wetland Mitigation Bank prior to the commencement of work within the regulatory jurisdiction.
