David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for the Southview Plaza Industrial buildings at Interstate Highway 49 and 155 th Street in Cass County Missouri. The facility will provide additional warehouse capacity in the vicinity of northern Cass County
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States within the limits of the proposed development project. The site is approximately 154 acres in size and is mainly fallow land. One ephemeral stream totaling 378 lineal feet, and four ponds totaling 4.81 acres.
The Missouri Department of Natural Resources’ Water Protection Program reviewed the request. One open water pond approximately 2.18 acres in size will be filled for construction of one industrial building. Three other ponds on the site were previously determined not to be jurisdictional, and no stream impacts are proposed. Due to the site’s previous use as a golf course, the applicant has enrolled the project site into the Voluntary Cleanup Program through the Department’s Brownfields/Voluntary Cleanup program (BVCP) Section of the Hazardous Waste Program.
