David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for Southern Lakes Residential Development in Johnson County Kansas. The development will help meet the demand for residential homes in southern Overland Park.
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States and to document existing site conditions. The parcel is approximately 27 acres in size and was agricultural land and residences. One Pond totaling 1.83 acres, five wetlands totaling 0.07 acres, and no streams were delineated on the property.
The US Army Corps of Engineers concurred that impacts to jurisdictional waters were below 0.10 acre in total and not above the 300 lineal foot threshold, therefore no compensatory mitigation was required.
