Press Release:

Firm Receives Individual Permit For Mixed-Use Development In Johnson County Kansas

Tuesday, April 4, 2017

David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for the Sonoma development project located at 87 th & Interstate 435 in Lenexa. The project serves to meet the demand for commercial, retail, assisted living, and multifamily living along the Interstate 435 corridor.

Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States within the limits of the proposed development project. Twelve wetlands totaling 1.53 acres, and two ponds totaling 1.11 acres were delineated on the parcel. There were no stream channels.

Due to the loss of aquatic resources resulting from the authorized project, the permittee must purchase 1.51 wetland credits from the Kansas River and Missouri River Wetland and Stream Umbrella Mitigation Bank where such surface waters are preserved through perpetuity under management by Terra Technologies.
