David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for the Shoal Creek Parkway North Harrison to North Woodland Project in Kansas City, Missouri. When completed, the project will provide additional traffic capacity and efficiency to nearby residences and bus traffic to Fox Hill Elementary School.
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States along the limits of the proposed roadway project. A total of 600 lineal feet of stream channel and 2.37 acres of wetlands were identified along the new roadway alignment. The project proposed to impact a small 0.58 acre portion of the wetland for road grading and a short segment of stream required realignment to accommodate culvert orientation. The original permit expired on December 31, 2016. Much of the work authorized by the permit is complete, but a final segment will begin this Fall.
