David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for the construction of the Shawnee Mission Health and Wellness medical facility in Overland Park Kansas. The commercial development will help meet the demand for medical services along the College and Metcalf corridor in Johnson County.
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States and to document existing site conditions. The parcel is approximately 9 acres in size and consists of turf grass and forested land. One intermittent stream totaling 505 linear feet, two wetlands totaling 0.10 acres, and 1 pond totaling 0.37 acres were delineated within the subject area.
The US Army Corps of Engineers concurred that impacts to jurisdictional waters were below 0.10 acre, therefore no mitigation was required.
