David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for a single family residential development in Jackson County Missouri. The project will help meet the demand for single family homes in the Raintree Lake area of southern Lee’s Summit
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States within the limits of the proposed development project in March 2015. The site is approximately 31 acres in size and consists of land that previously underwent site clearing and development by a previous landowner. There were eleven wetlands totaling 1.67 acre, and one stream channel totaling 2,368 lineal feet. The US Army Corps of Engineers, (USACE) has jurisdiction over all US waters. At the state level, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, (MDNR) provides the water quality certification. The project will avoid 0.22 acre of wetlands and 1,930 linear feet of stream channel.
In order to replace the lost aquatic resources that result from the authorized project, mitigation credits will be purchased from the Camp Branch Wetland and Stream Mitigation Bank.
