David Flick, Principal and Founder of Terra Technologies, announces the firm has received a Nationwide 404 Permit authorizing impacts to jurisdictional waters for the Reserves at Ravenwood Residential Development in Olathe Kansas.
Nationwide Permits that authorize impacts to jurisdictional waters resulting from most projects are limited to 300 feet of tributary impacts. When requested by the applicant, the US Army Corps of Engineers can evaluate the merits of waiving the 300 foot limitation when impacts occur to a tributary whose function is impaired prior to impact. Impairments are often associated with the absence of riparian corridors and other stream impacts upstream and downstream from the project site.
As a permit condition, the applicant will purchase stream mitigation credits from the Stranger Creek Stream and Wetland Mitigation Bank serving the project watershed.
