David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for the R+L Carriers Trucking Facility in Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri. The site will include a freight distribution center complete with freight warehouse, administrative office, maintenance shop, fuel station, truck/trailer parking , employee parking, and storm water detention. The project will meet the demand for regional and local freight hauling throughout the Midwest USA.
Scientists with Terra Technologies utilized a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States completed by others within the limits of the proposed development project. The project would conduct general grading and permanent fill of 2.72 acres of farmed wetlands located in the floodplain of the Missouri River and Shoal Creek.
Due to the permanent loss of wetlands, compensatory mitigation will be satisfied by the purchase of wetland credits from the Clear Fork Wetland and Stream Mitigation Bank where such surface waters are preserved through perpetuity under management by Terra Technologies.
