David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm has successfully completed a Jurisdictional Assessment of potential waters of the United States for the Diocese of Kansas City-St Joseph. The project includes the development of the subject site for a parochial high school and is located at NE Strother Road and Lee’s Summit Road. The area is approximately 83 acres in size and consists of agricultural land
Scientist with Terra Technologies visited the site to locate, describe and determine the limits of any streams, wetlands or open water habitats found within the limits of the project. The jurisdictional assessment identified 2.61 acres of wetlands, 1,047 lineal feet of ephemeral stream channel, and 3.59 acre of ponds.
Applicants are required to complete the required scientific delineation to identify the type and extents of jurisdictional waters when development is proposed at a site. Such information is utilized to determine if a Clean Water Act Section 404/401 permit authorization is required from the Corps of Engineers prior to the placement of fill or grading in such waters.
For more information about the scientific delineation of wetlands and streams, contact your local office of Terra Technologies.
