David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for a municipal Fleet Maintenance Facility in Overland Park. The project will provide a service facility for municipal vehicles.
The 11-acre project site consists of forested land bordered by commercial land to the south and east, by Antioch Road to the west, and by Highway 69 to the north.
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States within the limits of the proposed project, confirming one ephemeral stream totaling 789 linear feet.
In order to replace the lost aquatic resources that result from the authorized project, the permittee must purchase wetland credits from the Kansas and Missouri River Wetland and Stream Umbrella Mitigation Bank Sites where such surface waters are preserved through perpetuity under management by Terra Technologies.
