David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for the Brighton Commons Multifamily Development in Kansas City, Missouri. When constructed, the development will provide several hundred apartment residences in the M152 North Brighton Avenue area.
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States within the limits of the proposed development project. A total of 369 lineal feet of stream channel and 0.04 acres of wetlands were identified as unavoidable impacts to jurisdictional waters. The project minimized impacts to receiving waters through the use of upland best management practices including the planned construction of rain gardens and bioswales.
Due to the permanent loss of a small quantity of stream and wetlands, mitigation credits will be purchased from the Clear Fork Creek Wetland and Stream Mitigation Bank where such surface waters are preserved through perpetuity under management by Terra Technologies.
