Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a complex assessment of streams and wetlands for the Mill Creek Village Mixed Use development in Lenexa, Kansas. The project will help meet the demand for commercial and retail services along the K-10 corridor of western Johnson County.
The development parcel is approximately 170 acres in size and consists of agricultural and forested land with a small portion of mine land in the northeast corner.
The jurisdictional assessment confirmed the type and extent of four wetlands totaling 0.26 acres, two non-jurisdictional erosional features, two ephemeral streams totaling 1,298 lineal feet, and two perennial streams totaling 4,653 lineal feet. The limits of such surface waters are determined using the Corps of Engineers 1987 delineation method.
Scientists and engineers at Terra Technologies perform numerous complex Jurisdictional Assements annually for private and public clients. For more information about such assessments, contact your local office of Terra Technologies.
