David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for the Mill Creek Village commercial development in Lenexa Kansas. The project located at the northeast quadrant of K10 and Ridgeview will include big box retail, service retail, and commercial office space.
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States within the limits of the proposed development project. Two ephemeral stream channels totaling 1,298 lineal feet, two perennial stream channels totaling 4,653 lineal feet, and four wetlands totaling 0.26 acres were delineated on the parcel.
To replace the lost aquatic resources that result from the authorized project, the permittee must purchase credits from the Kansas River and Missouri River Wetland and Stream Umbrella Mitigation Bank Sites 1 and 2, where such surface waters are preserved through perpetuity under the management by Terra Technologies.
