David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for the installation of a fourteen mile collection line. The new utility will collect and transport renewable natural gas produced from covered manure lagoons at a Confined Animal Feeding Operation for an energy source in the City of Milan.
Roeslein Alternative Energy is the owner, operator and developer of renewable energy production facilities that convert agricultural and industrial wastes, and renewable biomass feedstocks, to renewable natural gas. They also provide engineering, procurement, construction services, anaerobic digestion technology, and prairie restoration practices.
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States within the limits of the proposed development project. Thirty Eight wetlands totaling 4.90 acres, six intermittent stream channels totaling 957 lineal feet, six perennial stream channels totaling 1,774 lineal feet, eight ephemeral stream channels totaling 1,774 lineal feet, and one pond totaling 0.13 acres were delineated on the parcel.
Avoidance is achieved by boring under the two largest perennial crossings. For minimization, the project utilizes an alignment seeking to minimize permanent impacts to surface waters. To alleviate the requirement for mitigation, all surface features will be restored to pre-construction condition or better.
