Terra Technologies, in conjunction with Swallow Tail LLC, will design and construct a permittee-provided mitigation project in Macon County Missouri on behalf of the Moberly Area Economic Development Corporation (MAEDC).
Scientists with the firm assisted the client in receipt of a Section 404/401 Individual Permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. The permit authorizes the placement of fill in 2.4 acres of low quality wetlands on the development parcel in Moberly.
Swallow Tail LLC is providing mitigation construction services on an agricultural parcel adjacent to the West Branch of the Salt River in close proximity to Moberly. Upon completion of construction of the MAEDC mitigation site, the scientists at Terra Technologies will submit plans to operate a federal wetland and stream mitigation bank on the surrounding land that will allow the sale of credits to public and private entities to compensate for water quality impacts caused by future development projects.
The project represents the continued expansion of Terra Technologies and Swallow Tail in the creation of mitigation assets across Missouri and Kansas. The companies currently own 25+ parcels for similar purposes.
