David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for Shawnee Mission School District to construct Lenexa Hills Elementary School. When constructed, t he school will provide elementary school instruction.
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States within the limits of the proposed development project. The site is approximately 26 acres in size and consists of managed turf grass field and forested land. It is located at the intersection of 87 th Street and Haven Street. A total of two intermittent stream channels totaling 1,274 lineal feet, three wetlands totaling 0.144 acre were delineated on the property.
The applicant received a Nationwide Permit 39 verification letter authorizing the activities required for the construction, and attendant features that are necessary for the use and maintenance of the school. This includes playgrounds and playing fields and associated facilities in jurisdictional waters, provided the activity does not result in the loss of greater than ½ acre of waters.
