David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for the Schlitterbahn Redevelopment District in Kansas City, Kansas. The 70 acre project is located at Parallel Parkway and 98 th Street. The project will provide a high density centralized auto dealership complex to meet the demand for retail automobile sales and service in the Village West area of Wyandotte County.
Scientists with the firm assisted the client in receipt of a complex Section 404/401 Individual Permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. The applicant purposes to place fill in a total of 3,823 lineal feet of streams and 0.89 acre of wetlands. Because proposed development could not practicably avoid such features, Terra Technologies, in conjunction with Swallow Tail LLC, will design and construct a permittee provided mitigation project in Leavenworth County Kansas on behalf of the permittee to satisfy the compensatory mitigation requirements for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers permit.
