Press Release:

Firm Receives Individual 404 Permit For Retail Development Project In Wichita, Kansas

June 5 , 2014

David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm has successfully completed Individual Section 404/401 Clean Water Act Permitting for development of the KU School of Medicine – Wichita Medical Practice parcel located at the intersection of K-96 and Greenwich Road in northeast Wichita. When completed, the site will have a Hotel, Retail Shopping, and Restaurants.

The Corps of Engineeres determined that a total of 1,590 lineal feet of ephemeral stream channel will be impacted to accommodate site development.

Because there isn’t a Federally approved mitigation bank serving the Wichita area, staff at Terra Technologies assisted the client with the facilitation of a cost agreement to purchase stream mitigation credits from the approved In-Lieu Fee provider, the Watershed Land Trust. Under supervision from the Corps of Engineers, the In-Lieu Fee provider will design, construct, and maintain a mitigation area to offset ecological losses resulting from the permitted project.

For more information about the application for Individual 404 permit authorizations, contact your local office of Terra Technologies.
