David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for the Olathe Commerce Park industrial development in southern Johnson County. The project will help meet the demand for small footprint warehousing along the Highway 56 corridor of Olathe.
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States within the limits of the proposed development project. The site is approximately 68 acres in size and is forested and pasture land. Eight wetlands totaling 0.97 acres, one intermittent stream totaling 3,158 linear feet, and four ephemeral streams totaling 3,075 linear feet were delineated. There were no ponds.
In order to replace the lost aquatic resources that result from the authorized project, the permittee must purchase credits from the Kansas Missouri River Umbrella Mitigation Bank, where such surface waters are preserved through perpetuity under management by Terra Technologies.
