Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a complex assessment of streams and wetlands at a former industrial parcel in Clay County Missouri. The project will help meet the demand for commercial and retail land in the Interstate I-35 and Armour Road area of North Kansas City.
The parcel is approximately 62 acres in size and consists of pasture land, managed turf grass areas, and a gravel storage yard. The jurisdictional assessment confirmed the type and extent of eleven wetlands totaling 1.90 acres, and no streams or ponds. The limits of such surface waters are determined using the Corps of Engineers 1987 delineation method.
