David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for the Highland Meadows Residential Development in Jackson County, Missouri. The project will meet the demand for single family residential home sites in the Longview Farms area of western Lee’s Summit, Missouri
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States within the limits of the proposed development project. The site is approximately 38 acres and consists of agricultural land. A total of 0.35 acres of wetland and 1,624 lineal feet of ephemeral stream channel was
delineated within the subject area. The Corps of Engineers waived the 300 linear foot limit for this authorization and determined that the adverse environmental effects of this project are minimal, both individually and cumulatively. All waters of the United States are considered jurisdictional waters.
Due to the permanent loss of ephemeral stream and wetlands, mitigation credits will be purchased from the Clear Fork Wetland and Stream Mitigation Bank.
