David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for all remaining phases of a large residential development in Johnson County Kansas. When constructed, the development will help meet the demand for single family homes along the West 167th Street corridor of southern Johnson County.
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States within the limits of the proposed development project. Five wetlands totaling 2.80 acres, and one pond totaling 0.13 acres. There were no stream channels.
To replace the lost aquatic resources that result from the authorized project, the permittee must purchase credits from the Kansas River and Missouri River Wetland and Stream Umbrella Mitigation Bank Sites 1 and 2, where such surface waters are preserved through perpetuity under management by Terra Technologies.
