David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for the 6 th Plat of the Hawksbury Residential Development in Kansas City Missouri. When constructed, the development will help meet the demand for single family homes in the NW 108th Street area of Kansas City North.
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States within the limits of the 44-acre proposed development project. Four wetlands totaling 0.42 acres, one perennial stream channel totaling 1,813 linear feet, and two ephemeral stream channels totaling 677 linear feet were delineated within the permitted phase of development.
To replace the lost aquatic resources that result from the authorized project, the permittee must purchase credits from the Nishnabotna/Platte River Wetland and Stream Umbrella Mitigation Bank, where such surface waters are preserved through perpetuity under management by Terra Technologies.
