David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for the Greens at Chapel Creek Residential Development in Johnson County, Kansas. The project will help meet the demand for single family development along the K-7 corridor of northern Johnson County.
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed site inspections to identify, delineate and map the locations of wetlands and other water bodies, and to document existing site conditions. Two wetlands totaling 0.17 acres were identified as unavoidable impacts to jurisdictional waters of the United States. The Corps of Engineers has jurisdiction over all waters of the U.S.
Due to the permanent loss of wetlands, the permittee will purchase mitigation credits from the Kansas and Missouri Umbrella Mitigation Bank Site 1 in the service area of the project.
