David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm has successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for the Freightquote.com commercial office building in Kansas City . This 200,000-square-foot office building will serve as the company headquarters and main call center for Freightquote.com. This new office space will be designed to accommodate an expanding workforce as the company looks to grow, creating approximately 700 new positions within the next several years.
Scientists at Flick Seed Company consulted the owner and design team to achieve avoidance of most high quality jurisdictional surface waters on the parcel, resulting in substantial conservation corridor preservation,a centralized passive wetland treatment basin and native grass buffers.
Staff prepared the necessary submittals to receive Nationwide Permit 39 verification. Because wetland impacts were below 0.10 acre, no mitigation was required for the project.
