David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for a large commercial warehouse project in Olathe, Kansas. The project will provide additional warehouse capacity for the Federal Express.
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a complex jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States finding a total of 10 wetlands totaling 1.87 acres and two ephemeral stream channel totaling 2,280 lineal feet. Because proposed development could not practicably avoid such features, Terra Technologies, in conjunction with Swallow Tail LLC, will design and construct a permittee provided mitigation project in the watershed on behalf of the permittee to satisfy the compensatory mitigation requirements for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers permit.
A conservation easement, proposed for assignment to Midwest Mitigation Oversight Association, will be filed with the Recorder of Deeds in Johnson County, Kansas to provide independent verification that the mitigation site is preserved in perpetuity.
