David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for a commercial nursery operation. The permittee will build an office/warehouse and plant nursery at the northeast corner of Kansas K-7 and Donahoo Road. Once completed, the business will provide retail and wholesale nursery products for purchase along the K-7 corridor of southern Wyandotte and Leavenworth Counties.
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States within the limits of the proposed development project. Three wetlands totaling 0.99 acre, and one pond totaling 0.01 acre were delineated on the property. There were no streams.
To replace the lost aquatic resources that result from the authorized project, the permittee must purchase credits from the Kansas River and Missouri River Umbrella Mitigation Bank Sites 1 and 2, where such surface waters are preserved through perpetuity under management by Terra Technologies.
