David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for Falcon Court slope repair project in Kansas City, Missouri. The project purpose is to stabilize a failing slope that has previously destroyed two (2) multi-family structures (duplexes) and is imminently threatening to damage or destroy a third multi-family structure. The slope is located above a detention pond, wetland, and channel, with the homes constructed just beyond the top of slope.
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States and to document existing site conditions. A total of 0.19 acre of wetlands, 23 lineal feet of ephemeral stream channel, and 0.55 acre of a pond was delineated within the subject area
In order to replace the lost aquatic resources resulting from site grading, mitigation credits will be purchased from the Sni-A-Bar Creek Wetland and Stream Mitigation Bank where such surface waters are preserved through perpetuity under management by Terra Technologies.
