David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for the Edgerton Land Holding Company in Johnson County, Kansas. The project will help meet the demand for industrial development in the BNSF Intermodal Facility area of southwest Johnson County Kansas.
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States within the limits of the proposed development project. The site is approximately 35 acres and consists of agricultural land. A total of 1.47 acres of wetland, 0.17 acres of open water pond, and 129 lineal feet of ephemeral stream channel was delineated within the subject area. All waters of the United States are considered jurisdictional waters.
Due to the permanent loss of ephemeral stream and wetlands, mitigation credits will be purchased from an approved in-lieu fee program in the service area of the project.
