Scientists Completes Complex Jurisdictional Assessment Of Surface Waters At A Former Hazardous Waste Parcel In Olathe Kansas

July 22, 2016

Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a complex assessment of streams and wetlands at an former hazardous waste industrial parcel located in Johnson County Kansas. The project will help meet the demand for industrial and manufacturing lands in the Highway 56 area of Olathe.

The former manufacturing parcel is approximately 68 acres in size and consists of forested and pasture land. The jurisdictional assessment confirmed the type and extent of 0.97 acre of wetlands, 3,075 lineal feet of ephemeral stream channel, and 3,158 lineal feet of intermittent channel delineated on the parcel. The limits of such surface waters are determined using the Corps of Engineers 1987 delineation method.

Scientists and engineers at Terra Technologies perform numerous complex Jurisdictional Assements annually for private and public clients. For more information about such assessments, contact your local office of Terra Technologies.
