Press Release:

Firm Receives Nationwide Permit With Waiver For Residential Development In Clay County Missouri

July 14, 2016

David Flick, Principal and Founder of Terra Technologies, announces the firm has received a Nationwide Permit authorizing impacts to jurisdictional waters for the Copperleaf Residential Development. in Kansas City Missouri. The project will help meet the demand for residential lots in the area near Liberty, Missouri.

Nationwide Permits that authorize impacts to jurisdictional waters resulting from most projects are limited to 300 feet of tributary fill. When requested by the applicant, the US Army Corps of Engineers can evaluate the merits of waiving the 300 foot limitation when impacts occur to a tributary whose function is impaired prior to impact. Impairments are often associated with the absence of riparian corridors and other stream impacts upstream and downstream from the project site.

To offset the loss of jurisdictional waters, the applicant will purchase credits from the Clear Fork Wetland and Stream Mitigation Bank in the service area of the project.

For more information about Clean Water Act Nationwide Permits and Waiver Requests, contact your local office of Terra Technologies.
