David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for the construction of a commercial project at NE Lakewood Way and NE Port Drive in northern Lee’s Summit. The project serves to meet the demand for light commercial construction equipment.
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States within the limits of the proposed development project. Two wetlands totaling 0.19 acre, 399 lineal feet of intermittent stream, one ephemeral stream totaling 242 lineal feet, and no ponds were delineated on the property.
For minimization, the applicant proposes a wetland detention basin allowed to colonize with native vegetation. As total impacts are below 0.10 acres, the project did not require compensatory mitigation.
