Press Release:

Firm Receives Nationwide Permit With Waiver Of 300 Foot Rule For Commercial Development In Clay County Missouri

Thursday, November 20, 2018

David Flick, Principal and Founder of Terra Technologies, announces the firm has received a Nationwide Permit with tributary length waiver authorizing impacts to jurisdictional waters for the City of Liberty Technology Park. The project is located on the northeast side of Liberty off of Interstate 35 and US 69 Highway.

Nationwide Permits that authorize impacts to jurisdictional waters resulting from most projects are limited to 300 feet of tributary fill. When requested by the applicant, the US Army Corps of Engineers can evaluate the merits of waiving the 300-foot limitation when impacts occur to a tributary whose function is impaired prior to impact. Impairments are often associated with the absence of riparian corridors and other stream impacts upstream and downstream from the project site.

To offset the loss of jurisdictional waters, the applicant will purchase credits from the Clear Fork Mitigation Bank and Blackwater/Lamine Rivers Umbrella (Site 1) Mitigation Bank where such surface waters are preserved through perpetuity under management by Terra Technologies.
