Swallow Tail Design Build Inc. has been awarded a contract renewal to continue providing natural resource management of 19 storm water ecobasins and bioengineered stream channels for the City of Independence, Missouri. In consultation with Terra Technologies, Swallow Tail has been performing such maintenance since 2010.
Management tasks include annual ecological site assessments for the presence of noxious and invasive weeds and the control of objectionable colonizing weed species within a set distance from surrounding residential improvements. Maintenance includes monthly spraying of target control species, cleanup of unauthorized compost and limb piles, selective reseeding of specified areas, and general correction of limited erosion rilling.
The aforementioned work is being conducted for the Water Pollution Control Department at the City of Independence, Missouri. The contract extends through June 2015. For more information about regional ecobasin design and/or maintenance, contact your local office of Terra Technologies.
