Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a complex assessment of streams and wetlands for a proposed construction landfill located in Independence Missouri. The project will help meet the demand for centrally-located construction debris landfill services in eastern Jackson County in close proximity to current and future building demolition work.
The parcel is approximately 43 acres in size and consists of forested land. The jurisdictional assessment confirmed the type and extent of five ephemeral stream channels totaling 2,779 lineal feet, one perennial stream channel totaling 1,085 lineal feet , and no wetlands or ponds delineated on the parcel. The limits of such surface waters are determined using the Corps of Engineers 1987 delineation method.
Scientists and engineers at Terra Technologies perform numerous complex Jurisdictional Assements annually for private and public sector clients. For more information about such assessments, contact your local office of Terra Technologies.
