David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for the Inland Port VII and IX Industrial buildings at Logistics Park Kansas City in southern Johnson County. The project will provide an additional 2 million square feet of warehouse capacity in the vicinity of BNSF Intermodal facility.
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States within the limits of the proposed development project. The site is approximately 100 acres in size and is primarily agricultural row crop land. Six wetlands totaling 3.23 acres were delineated. There were no streams or ponds. In order for the Corps to complete the required NEPA consultation, scientists with Terra Technologies completed the necessary cultural resource surveys.
To replace the loss of aquatic resources resulting from the authorized project, the permittee must purchase 2.37 wetland credits from an approved mitigation provider in the service area of the project. Such wetland credits will be purchased from The Upper Osage River Wetland and Stream Umbrella Bank located southwest of Osawatomie Kansas.
