David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for the Barry Brooke Residential Development in Clay County Missouri. The development will help meet the demand for residential homes along the Highway 152 corridor in Kansas City Missouri
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States and to document existing site conditions. The parcel is approximately 24 acres in size and consists of forested and agricultural land. The US Army Corps of Engineers determined a total of 0.30 acres of wetlands and 296 linear ft of stream would be permanently filled by development activities.
The applicant received a Nationwide Permit 29 verification letter authorizing unavoidable impacts to jurisdictional surface waters. In order to replace the lost aquatic resources resulting from site grading, mitigation credits will be purchased from the Clear Fork Wetland and Stream Mitigation Bank where such surface waters are preserved through perpetuity under management by Terra Technologies. The compensatory mitigation credit purchase must be completed prior to the commencement of work within the regulatory jurisdiction.
