David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for Arborwalk North Residential Development and installation of a sanitary sewer in Jackson County Missouri. The project will help meet the demand for single family development in southern Lee’s Summit.
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed site inspections to identify, delineate and map the locations of wetlands and other water bodies, and to document existing site conditions. Two wetlands totaling 0.02 acres, and 213 linear feet of tributaries were identified as unavoidable impacts to jurisdictional waters of the United States. The Corps of Engineers has jurisdiction over all waters of the U.S.
Nationwide Permits that authorize impacts to jurisdictional waters resulting from most projects are limited to 300 feet of tributary impacts and wetlands totaling less than 0.50 acres. All areas impacted by the sewer installation will be restored to their pre-construction state. Clearing of wetland areas to allow equipment access for trenching the sanitary sewer pipeline will be the minimum necessary.
