David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for residential development in Shawnee Kansas. When constructed, the development will help meet the demand for single family homes along Prairie Star Parkway in western Johnson County.
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States within the limits of the proposed development project. Three wetlands totaling 2.63 acres, one pond totaling 3.58 acres, and one intermittent stream channel totaling 333 linear feet were delineated at the site.
To replace the lost aquatic resources that result from the authorized project, the permittee must purchase credits from the Kansas and Missouri River Wetland and Stream Mitigation Bank, where such surface waters are preserved through perpetuity under management by Terra Technologies.
