David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for Advanced Drainage Systems facility in Cass County Missouri. The project will provide a new manufacturing facility with access to rail in close proximity to Interstate 49 to serve the demand for commercial drainage products in the Kansas City and surrounding areas..
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States within the limits of the proposed development project. Three wetlands totaling 0.30 acre, 2,010 lineal feet of intermittent streams, 1,614 lineal feet of ephemeral streams, and one pond totaling 0.12 acre that were delineated on the property.
Due to the loss of aquatic resources resulting from the authorized project, the permittee must purchase 3,113 stream credits and 0.12 wetland credits from an approved mitigation provider in the service area of the project. Such wetland credits will be purchased from Camp Branch Stream and Wetland Mitigation Bank where such surface waters are preserved through perpetuity under management by Terra Technologies.
